إلگن (Elgin ؛ []ˈɛlɡɪn[]؛ غالية اسكتلندية: Eilginn؛ سكوتس: Ailgin) هي بلدة (مدينة كاتدرائية سابقة) وقبل ذلك Royal Burgh في مري، اسكتلندا. وهي المركز الاداري والتجاري لمري. وقد بدأت البلدة إلى الجنوب من نهر لوسي على الأرض المرتفعة فوق سهول المفيض حين توجد بلدة بيرني. وهناك، فإن كنيسة بيرني كيرك بُنيت في 1140 وتخدم المجتمع حتى اليوم. وقد ذُكِرت إلگن لأول مرة في the Cartulary of Moray في 1190م. وقد أُنشِئت كـ royal burgh في القرن 12 على يد الملك ديڤد الأول من اسكتلندة، وبحلول ذلك الوقت كانت هناك قلعة فوق ما هو اليوم ربوة السيدة إلى الغرب من البلدة. سكان إلگن يشار إليهم جمعاً بإسم Elginites.

Elgin's climate is temperate maritime, with cool summers and relatively mild winters due to its proximity to the sea. Rainfall is quite low as it is in the rain shadow of mountains to the west and southwest.
