مانش ( Manche ؛ []mɒ̃ʃ[], : [mɑ̃ʃ] ; Norman: Maunche) هو إقليم فرنسي، يقع في منطقة نورماندي الفرنسية، وهو الاسم الفرنسي للقنال الانجليزى، ويعني حرفياً "الكُم". Manche is bordered by Ille-et-Vilaine and Mayenne to the south, Orne and Calvados to the east, the English Channel to the west and north and by sharing maritime borders with the Crown Dependencies of Bailiwick of Jersey and Bailiwick of Guernsey of the United Kingdom to the west. It had a population of 495,045 in 2019.[2]
التاريخ
إقليم مانش هو واحد من الأقاليم الـ 83 التي تتشكل منها فرنسا، والتي أنشئت خلال الثورة الفرنسية يوم 4 مارس 1790، أنشئت من جزء من منطقة نورماندي.
وكانت أول عاصمة لإقليم المانش كوتانسيس حتى عام 1796، وذلك بسبب التدمير شبه الكامل لمدينة سان لو خلال الغزو الذي شهده إقليم نورماندي خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية، وعندما أعيد بناء سان لو أصبح مرة أخرى عاصمة إقليم المانش.
الجغرافيا
ويضم إقليم ممانش شبة جزيرة كوتينتن وجزر شاوسي، وهو جزء من منطقة نورماندي السفلى وتحيط بها من ثلاث جهات القنال الانجليزى مع 350 كيلومتر من السواحل البحرية، ويحيط بها كل من الأقاليم التالية: كالفادوس (بالفرنسية: Calvados)، أورن (بالفرنسية: Orne)، ماين (بالفرنسية: Mayenne)، ايل فيالين (بالفرنسية: Ille-et-Vilaine).

The most populous commune is Cherbourg-en-Cotentin; and the prefecture Saint-Lô is the second-most populous. As of 2019, there are six communes with more than 10,000 inhabitants:[2]

المناخ
المناخ محيطي مع شتاء معتدل، ونادرا ما تصل الحرارة ما دون الصفر، أما الصيف فهو معتدل إذ تصل درجة الحرارة حوالي 25 درجة مئوية، الأمطار كثيرة، ولكن يختلف اختلافا كبيرا حسب المنطقة، ما بين 700مم على الساحل و1300مم في المنطقة الوسطى الجنوبية، وكثيرا ما يكون نسيم البحر هو السائد على ساحل الإقليم، والتي تسهم مع المد والجزر في تغير درجة الحرارة بسرعة خلال يوم واحد.
التعداد السكاني
ويطلق سكان إقليم مانش اسم مانشوتس (بالفرنسية:Manchots) أو مانشويس (بالفرنسية:Manchois).
