أدم (روبوت)
أدم Adam هو عالم روبوتي أو روبوت معمل خلقته وطورته مجموعة أبحاث علم الأحياء الحاسوبي في جامعة أبريستويث.[1][2][3][4] كنموذج مبدئي لـ"عالم روبوتي"، يستطيع أدم اجراء تجارب مستقلة لاختبار الافتراضات وتفسير النتائج بدون ارشاد بشري.[5] أثناء بحثه علم الجينوم الوظيفي في الخميرة، أصبح أدم أول ماكينة في التاريخ تكتشف معرفة علمية جديدة، مستقلة عن خالقيها البشر؛[6][7][8] أبحاث أدم درست خميرة الخبز (Saccharomyces cerevisiae)[9] وهو واحد من عالمين إنساليين يعملان في جامعة أبريستويث، مع "إيڤ"، الروبوت الذي يبحث حالياً في drug screening.
أهم ورقة بحثية علمية عن العالِم الروبوتي نـُشِرت في عام 2004 في دورية نيتشر بقلم Ross King, Kenneth Whelan, Ffion Jones, Philip Reiser, Christopher Bryant, Stephen Muggleton, Douglas Kell and Steve Oliver.[9]
