At the world's largest production site for packaging steel, Rasselstein produces tinned tinplate, thin sheet and special chrome-plated thin sheet with a thickness of 0.100 to 0.499 mm. In the 2010/2011 financial year (as of September 30, 2012), the company employed 2,373 people and achieved sales of 1,384 million euros with sales of 1.4 million tonnes of refined and unrefined material. Around 10 million m³ of groundwater are used for this each year. [ 1 ] Thyssenkrupp Rasselstein GmbH serves 400 customers in more than 80 countries, making it one of the three largest tinplate suppliers in Europe.
