X-ray installation, by Russell John Reynolds, London, England, 1896-97. Consists of:- 13-inch spark coil mounted on glass pillars, with mercury dipper break (motor control) and commutator, all mounted on wooden stand; condenser mounted in mahogany case; three-legged wooden tube stand; chromic acid battery; two x-ray tubes and three fluorescent screens. Known as the Russell-Reynolds x-ray machine.[1]

رسل جون رينولدز (Russell J. Reynolds ؛ 10 مايو 1880 - 5 نوفمبر 1964) كان طبيب آشعة إنجليزي وابن الدكتور جون رينولدز، طبيب العائلة ذي الاهتمامات العلمية الواسعة التي ضمت working, in 1896, مع صديقه السير William Crookes، لإنشاء جهاز آشعة سينية. (It was only at the end of the previous year that X-rays had been discovered by ڤلهلم رونتگن.) At that time Russell Reynolds was in his mid-teens, going to Westminster School. His father’s early experiments set his mind to pursue the specialty that became his life’s work. He contributed much in his field. From May 1921, he created cineradiography equipment, to provide motion pictures using X-rays to follow the movements of digestion, internal organs, and skeletal joints preserved on film as loops allowing closer study.«[2]
